After breakfast, you’ll departure to city Mtskheta – the old, legendary capital of Georgia, just 20km from the city center.
You’ll visit Jvari Monastery (Monastery of the Cross), previously a pagan temple and latterly turned into Christian church. Perched on a windblown, rocky promontory, take some time to enjoy the exceptional scenery and take some photos of this amazing UNESCO world heritage listed structure. The Svetitskhoveli cathedral remains at the center of the Orthodox church.
Drive back to Tbilisi. City tour. First stop will be at glorious Sameba – the main cathedral and the tallest religious building of the country. Next stop is Metekhi Church located in the neighborhood of the same name and gracefully situated on a cliff above Mtkvari river. Your guide will then take you to the new Rike Park to admire the view and perhaps take a few photos in front of The Bridge of Peace, a stunning modern structure designed by Italian architects and one of the new symbols of the city. One of the highlights of the day is a visit to Narikala – the capital’s ancient fortress, where the stunning views over the city will open out before you. You’ll be whisked to the top in a cable car and after your visit will wander down by foot through the narrow and historic streets of the Old Town, among them the newly renovated Shardeni kucha – the street which never sleeps, and one of Tbilisi’s nighttime hot spots.
After excursion transfer to the hotel.

After breakfast, check out from the hotel and departure to the Eastern part of Georgia – the wine region Kakheti. We will go through Gombori Pass, a stop near fortress Ujarma – nowadays only ruins are left from this once glorious structure which used to be a residence of the Georgian monarchs in the early Middle Ages. Thereafter we will visit New Shuamta – the monastery complexes. Arrive to Telavi, which is the center of Georgian winemaking. Here you’ll visit King Erekle II palace (Batonis Tsikhe), served as the residence of Kakhetian Kings between 17th and 18th century. The castle encloses two churches, the ruins of a royal bathhouse, and the Persian style Palace of King Erekle. Transfer to local market to buy fruits and spices.

Walking/horse riding distance 3 km.
After breakfast, сheck out. Drive to Tusheti by Jeep. On the way visit Alaverdi monastery, at the beginning of the 11th century, when Georgia was entering its cultural and political golden age, King Kvirike of Kakheti had this majestic cathedral built.
Proceed to Omalo. Arrive to Kvemo Omalo.
Optional: You can hire a horse and all trekking route could be done by riding.
Horse price for 1 day – 40 EURO
Trek/horse riding to villages Shenako and Diklo. In Diklo you will see the Pichekhi Castle, which is standing at the border of Russian Federation.
Transfer to Upper Omalo, accommodation and dinner in the guest house.

Walking/horse riding distance 16 km.
Minimal altitude: 1900 m; Maximal altitude: 3050m
Trekking or horse riding to Unagira mountain. (3050m), from here you will have picturesque views on both: Pirikiti and Gometsari valleys.
Picnic in nature. At about 7 pm trek will over to Omalo guest house, where you will have dinner and free time to relax.

After breakfast, check out. Trekking to Keselo castle.
After all we’ll drive back to Tbilisi. On the way visit wine cellar KTW, where you’ll have excursion and degustation of Georgian wines. Arrival to Tbilisi. Tour in Tusheti is finished. (Drive duration for the whole day is 250 km)
