• Dinner in a local restaurant with entertainment program – Georgian folk-show. It will be your first acquaintance with the infamous Georgian cuisine. Round-trip transfer included.

After breakfast, you will meet your guide at the hotel lobby and start your personal discovery of Georgia with the city tour of its capital. First stop will be at glorious Sameba – the main cathedral and the tallest religious building of the country. Another “must see place” for today is Metekhi Church located in the neighborhood of the same name, gracefully situated on a cliff above Mtkvari river. Your guide will take you to the new Rike Park to make a photo-stop on The Bridge of Peace which is a modern structure designed by Italian architects and recently became one of the new symbols of the city.

One of the highlights for today is a visit to Narikala – ancient fortress, where the stunning views over the city will be opened for you. You will go up on the comfortable cable car and get down by foot through the narrow and authentic streets of the Old Town, among them the newly renovated Shardeni kucha – the street which never sleeps, an entertainment cluster of Tbilisi.

After the city tour, you will have time for lunch break. Your guide will be happy to recommend a local restaurant so you could try more Georgian dishes (lunch may be booked in advance – USD 15 PP).
Today we prepared for you another splendid place to visit – the historical suburb of Tbilisi. You will see Mtskheta – the old legendary capital of Georgia. Here is located the most important cathedral – Svetitskhoveli, which inspired many Georgian poets and artists. Then you proceed to Jvari Monastery, previously a pagan temple turned into Christian church. This place gives you an opportunity to enjoy the exceptional scenery and make photos of the amazingly beautiful nature. In the evening return to the hotel and spend the rest of the day on your own. Arrival back to Tbilisi. Free time. Overnight.

Optional tours/activities for today:

• Choreography Class. Master-class of Georgian dances. During 1.5 hours session you will have an opportunity to learn the moves from the professional dancers (no special skills required).

• Visit to the peasant family near Mtskheta. The tour includes degustation of the locally produced wine (aimed for the export). Additionally we may include the dinner with the family during this tour and master classes of cooking Georgian cuisine.

• Tour to the National Museum of Georgia. See the treasury of ancient Georgian Kingdoms, Soviet Occupation exposition and other significant historical artefacts.

• Tour to the Ethnographical Museum. Open-air museum where you can see the authentic Georgian houses.

• Dinner with traditional Georgian dishes, wine and national show program (Georgian dances and songs). Round-trip transfer included.

Breakfast in the hotel. Departure to Uplistsikhe – the impressive cave-city in the Eastern Georgia, which used to be a significant cultural center before the Christian era. The name Uplistsikhe literally means “The God’s Castle”.
Afterwards we will drive to Borjomi. Borjomi is an incredibly beautiful place, comfortably located in a beautiful valley of the Mtkvari River. Here you will visit the famous park Borjomi. Moreover we will have the possibility to taste real Borjomi water right from the spring.
Arrival back to Tbilisi. Free time. Overnight.

• Tour to Bakuriani, beautiful village in the valley, surrounded by mountainous landscape.

Breakfast in the hotel. This day is dedicated to the visit of Kakheti, eastern part of Georgia, famous for the old tradition of wine-making. You will see the female monastery Bodbe and have an opportunity to go down St Nino’s spring. Then you proceed to the highlight of today’s tour – visit to Signagi, the so-called “city of love”. It resembles an Italian city with its Mediterranean-styled small houses and narrow old streets. After the tour in Signaghi, you will have a chance to know more about the process of wine making as you visit one of the authentic wineries of Kakheti and have a tour inside of it.
In the evening you return back to Tbilisi. Free time. Overnight.

• Tour to Telavi and Tsinandali – a noble estate and museum. Wine degustation in the historic winery can be added for extra fee.

• Tour to David Gareja Monastery Complex – one of the significant symbols of Kakheti.

Breakfast in the hotel.
Departure to Kazbegi. Our journey will take place along the Georgian Military Road to the fortress and monastery Ananuri located on the bank of Jinvali reservoir. Later on we will see the pride of Georgians – ski resort Gudauri, located at an altitude of 2195m.
Tour of Gergety Trinity Church – the most important altar of 14th century, located on the slope of Mount Kazbek. You will go up the mountain by 4×4 jeeps and enjoy the breath-taking views.
After the tour, arrival back to Tbilisi. Free time. Overnight.

Breakfast in the hotel. This day is free for you to explore Tbilisi on your own. Please see the optional tours below which may be added. Your dedicated manager will be glad to recommend any venues and places to visit.

After breakfast you check-out from the hotel in Tbilisi and continue your journey through the province of Imereti. Some historians say this is the place where the myth of Golden Fleece took place. You visit the capital of this region and administrative capital of the country where the new parliament is functioning – the city of Kutaisi. You will tour around this city and visit the iconic Bagrati Cathedral and Gelati Monastery. Afterwards you continue to discover the region of Imereti and go to the infamous Prometheus Cave – the natural landmark which includes stalactites and stalagmites. Accommodation and overnight in Kutaisi.

Breakfast and check-out from the hotel. Today you visit the administrative center Zugdidi – heart of Samegrelo, the Western province which used to be a separate kingdom. Mingrelians (people of Samegrelo) are an ethnical subgroup of Georgian nation with their own customs and traditions, your guide will tell about it and take you on the city tour of Zugdidi. Here we will see a lot of interesting things: death masks of Napoleon, palace of the noble family Dadiani, church, botanical garden of Dadian.

Departure to high-mountain village Mestia. Mestia is situated in the province of Svaneti – home province of Svans. This ethnical group is famous for their tradition of vengeance. Of course nowadays it doesn’t happen anymore, however your guide will tell a lot of fascinating stories concerning this tradition.

Accommodation, dinner and overnight in guesthouse in Mestia.

After breakfast you will start explore more of Svaneti region – the remote land-locked area which never was conquered. You will have a tour in Ethnographic Museum to know more about this fascinating highland people. Also you will visit the museum of Margiani family, which is an old Svanetian house estate. Thereafter, departure to Ushguli village – the highest village in Europe. On the way to Ugviris gorge you will see mountain peaks of Tetnuldi and Ushba. Then you proceed to Ushguli ethnographic museum and ancient church Lamaria. Return to Mestia for dinner and overnight.

After breakfast you depart from Mestia and go all the way back to Kutaisi. You will have a tour of Sataplia where you may see the dinosaur’s skeleton and other fascinating items of the pre-historic era. You also will visit the spectacular Motsameta Monastery. Accommodation, free time and overnight in Kutaisi.

After breakfast you continue the way back to the capital of Georgia. Arrival to Tbilisi and accommodation. You will have free time in the city, you may buy souvenirs, locally produced food and enjoy this last day in hospitable Georgia. Overnight.
