After breakfast, you’ll visit Bagrati Cathedral built in the 11th century during the reign of King Bagrat III, who unified Georgian regions into one kingdom. Proceed to Prometheus cave where you can find a very special form of stalactites, stalagmites, petrified stone waterfalls and hanging curtains, underground river and lakes – all this on a nice 1.4km walk in mysterious and cool atmosphere and short boat trip if interested. Proceed to Gelati monastery is a masterpiece of the Golden Age of medieval Georgia, a period of political strength and economic growth between the 11th and 13th centuries. The Gelati monastery, one of the largest medieval Orthodox monasteries, was also a center of science and education and the Academy it housed was one of the most important centers of culture in ancient Georgia. After visiting Motsameta monastery, which was built in 11th century by the king of united Georgia Bagrat III. Name “motsameta” means place of tortured brothers (there is story about it). It is a small and quiet saint place with astonishing views.

For several centuries it was conquered by the Ottoman Empire, hence the significant amount of population was converted to Islam. Nowadays it preserves a status of autonomous republic in Georgia.

After breakfast, you will meet your guide at the hotel lobby and proceed for the city tour of Batumi. You will start the discovery of the city from the seaside boulevard. Seeing the exteriors of House of Justice, Statue of Love and brand-new buildings of the world known hotels. Take a walk on the famous Batumi Piazza – the square which was built as a replica of Italian city square.
Afterwards you will visit historical part of the city and discover the authentic vibes of old Batumi.
Next stop is the Botanical Garden of Batumi, which was famous all over the USSR for its unique eco-systems and a collection of various exotic plants. In the evening, you will see a spectacular show – dancing fountains of Batumi. The fountains usually “dance” to the soundtrack of modern pop, rock and classic music. Return to the hotel. Overnight.
