Tbilisi – Kakheti: Sighnaghi and Bodbe – Armenia – Tbilisi -Mtskheta-Tbilisi



Day 1. Breakfast in a hotel. City tour in Tbilisi. Sameba Cathedral, Metekhi church (XIII century). Thereafter familiarization with old city and taking a walk along famous streets Sharden and Leselidze. Visiting Bridge of Peace. After we will have car route across central street – Rustaveli Ave and restored Marjanishvili Str.. Visiting Rike park. Later on we are going up by cable route to fortress “Narikala”. Free evening. Overnight in a hotel.

Day 2. Breakfast in the hotel. Departure to the western part of Georgia Kakheti, wine region. Tour in Sighnaghi- city of love. Wine cellar with tasting different sorts of wine and Georgian vodka chacha. Visiting traditional Georgian peasant family, where guests will have opportunity to get acquainted with the technology of processing wool, technology of knitting carpets and tapestries, rope dyeing with natural dyes. Try the tastiest Kakhetian dishes + tasting honey and hhomemade white wine. Return to Tbilisi. Transfer to railway station (train Tbilisi- Yerevan) Departure at 20:20. Overnight in the train.

Day 3. Early arrival in Yerevan (07:00). Transfer to the hotel. City tour: visit to Matenadaran (repository of ancient manuscripts), walking in the park Tsitsernakaberd (Armenian Genocide Museum).Welcome dinner in “Tumanyan Pandok” restaurant. Overnight in the hotel.

Day 4. Breakfast in the hotel. A trip to the ancient capital of Armenia Vagarshapat town. Excursion on the territory of Katolikasat – residence of the head of the Armenian Apostolic church, visiting St. Echmiadzin Cathedral. Visiting Garni (pagan Temple of the Sun), Gegard (Ayrivank – monastery complex, unique architectural construction in the Kotayk region).

Day 5. Breakfast in the hotel. Excursion to the Sevan Lake. Visiting Dilijan, Agartsin (was built in the X-XIII centuries, under the auspices of the dynasty Bagratouni) Goshavanq (Armenian medieval monastery complex XII-XIII cc.).overnight in the hotel.

Day 6. Breakfast in the hotel. Trip to Khor Virap: visiting the church complex, listening about the history of Christianity in Armenia. Trip to Noravanq, visiting the church complex. Overnight in the hotel.

Day 7. Breakfast in the hotel. Walking though the Victory park. Visiting the city traditional market. Parajanov House-Museum (the famous Soviet film director and screenwriter). Evening walk on Northern Avenue. Transfer to the railway station (21:30) Night in the Yerevan-Tbilisi train.

Day 8. Arrival in Tbilisi (08:00). Departure to “Mtskheta” ancient town.В В Visit to Cathedral Svetitskhoveli (XII century), Monastery Samtavro (XI century). Going up to the monastery Jvari (V century), where you will enjoy beautiful view of an ancient capital. Here, in Mtskheta we will visit wine cellar of national peasant family, testing Georgian wine and chacha + lessons of Georgian cuisine. Departure to Gori, place of birth of Joseph Stalin. Visit to the house-museum of Stalin. Later on excursion to ancient rock-hewn town Uplistsikhe. In the evening arrival to Tbilisi. Overnight in a hotel.

Day 9 Breakfast in the hotel. Free day

Day 10. Breakfast in the hotel. Free time. Check out. Transfer to the airport. Completion of service and happy return home.
